Production process
1. material selection of high quality food grade plastics (e.g. polypropylene or polyethylene) or other materials such as stainless steel or biodegradable substances.
2. material recycling (if applicable): for environmentally friendly options, recycled materials can be purchased and prepared.
3. Molding
Injection Molding: Plastic pellets are heated and injected into a mold to form the desired lunchbox shape. This is the most common method of making plastic lunch boxes.
Thermoforming: For some designs, the plastic sheet is first heated to shape and then cut to size.
4. Cooling and solidification
After molding, the lunchbox is cooled to solidify the shape. This step ensures that the lunchbox retains its integrity.
5. Trimming and polishing
Excess material is trimmed off and edges are smoothed to ensure safety and comfort during handling.
6. Quality control
Each batch of lunchboxes is inspected for defects to ensure compliance with safety and durability standards.
7. Printing and customization
If branding or design is required, printing processes such as screen printing or pad printing can be used to add logos or patterns.
